What to Expect at the Salivary Gland Cancer Awareness Day Event
THE MORNING
10.30-11.15 Arrive! Grab a coffee, have a chat.
11.15-11.30 Formal opening with introductory speech by a local dignitary
11.30-12.45 Hear from patients and clinicians about their experiences of salivary gland cancers, the difficulties and what we are doing about them. Ask questions, have a chat and make new friends and even get to see a video of some of our SGC day supporters.
12.45-13.45 Lunch on us!
THE AFTERNOON
13.45-14.00 Welcome back – a bit of history of why SGCUK was formed and what we do!
14.00-15.00 More from our patient community and clinicians about their experiences of salivary gland cancers, the difficulties and what we are doing about them. Ask questions, have a chat
and make new friends.
15.00-15.30 Grab a coffee before the prize giving....
15.30-16.00 Salivary Gland Cancer Prize Giving- we're taking nominations for this so let us know if you think someone should get a prize :)
THE EXTRAS
Private Chats: Emma Hallam, a late effects consultant radiographer, will be available for private, informal chats throughout the day.
Kids Welcome: We have a separate breakout area for children to play, explore some art, and do some colouring.
Free Admission: The event is completely free, and all guests are welcome to look around the Manchester Art Gallery.
